Leaving 2012.......

Here we are another year has passed and what a year it has been.
Many ups and downs with tremendous changes in our particular lives.

I got seriously lost in Valley of Fire and created quite a few hours of despair for my guy Lee and friend Jan...Thank you for hanging in and believing I could find my way back even in the dark!

We sold our home after 3 years of trying and before the bottom fell out of the market!
With that comes the dreaded DOWNSIZING!
 If you own a home you know that every nook and cranny has Something in it..
 maybe you have not used it in a couple of years,
 but by golly it will be there if and when you need it.
 Well we had a lot of nooks and crannies!

Thanks to Geoff and Julie for their acts of kindness and love they always share with Lee and I

Two trips to |Nanaimo to take some things to our good friends..
the second visit was to take my mother's Duncan Phyffe table and chairs to Laura..
Lee's back went out on him and so we had to cut this short and head home.
 Otherwise we would have visited other friends..

We also would like to thank Richard Langsmith for his help and hard work helping Lee with man size jobs..
 you were and are always appreciated and my Almost son!!!

So then the grown up kids came and took what they wanted
and I suspect somethings they did not want.
They may have been feeling sorry for us at that point.

Michellene and Alexandra came and HELPED and omg these two women were whirling dervishes of organisation and business.
Thank you for the number of boxes you sent to Mack in Montreal
and for the things you thought important enough to take for yourselves and the old radio to Tiffany.
 We really could not have done it without their help.

Then came Darren and his family and omg they not only worked
 but they actually moved and lifted heavy furniture into a moving van and then unloaded it again in a storage unit!
Thank you also for taking so much stuff home to Yellowknife with you!

The yard sales that exceeded every expectation and thank you to our friends Esther and Lyle who
drove down from Kelowna early in the morning to help us.. you are both amazing people.

Selling almost all our furniture..(Tiffany you had a stroke of genius with selling this stuff by the room)
Tiffany and the boys came for the last visit to the house as it was the only house the grandchildren had ever known from this set of grandparents.
Had a great visit and they took what was there for them...

The purchase of Lee's new truck
which by the way is amazing
 even if we do not know how to use all the stuff it comes with..
Then our new 5th wheel..
 and the letting go of our old one..

A trip to Alberta to visit with Michellene and family ,
Tiffany and family
 and the cousin Keith and his wife Loretta.
Thank you to all of you for your warm welcome and the great times.
This trip included Wateron National Park... which was great for four days
THEN It snowed!

Home to Osoyoos and looking looking for a lot..
 a house...
 an already lived in house.
a renovated house,
a townhouse,
a condo
 omg!!!
We put bids on three houses, two lots and lost out on all of the attempts.
 Nothing we did wrong..
but with existing bids and people changing their minds about selling at the last minute..
 well in the two weeks before we left Osoyoos we looked at over 15 places
 and bid on one as sort of a SETTLING thing..
well they did not take our offer and I am so damn glad they did not..
 as settling is not the way to go.

So we arrived back in Osoyoos on April 4th from our winter trip down south and we left on November 15th to start our new winter trip!

We have acquired two new additions Puppies..
 Rascal and Scamp..
Now there were many many more moments in 2012 that I have not mentioned.
 They have not been forgotten.
It would be too long to make mention of every single thing..
but rest assured if it is not mentioned
 do not for one minute
 think it is less important than anything spoken about here.

We could not do any of this without the support and love of our families,
 friends
and the folks we love.
 So to each of you mentioned or not..
 thank you for any act of kindness you have shared
 and any part of your life that you gave to us.
I have so much admiration for all of you.,
 and  love for each of you.
Thank you once again for joining our adventures
and may we wish you the blessings and joy of a New Year.
