New day ...New everything

As many of you following my quest to adopt a we dog, you know the story.

This one has a happy ending......
for us anyway.

My husband felt so badly for me over the hurt and betrayal we both suffered over the unwillingness to get Maggie from someone that simply wanted what we did.
 No other reason.
Well she achieved her end..
and as my youngest daughter shared with me..

" Welcome to the Karma Cafe,
please sit anywhere you like.
You will not need a menu here,
for here, you get exactly what you deserve"!

Oh yes where was I... my husband Lee.
He found a local lady with a couple very lovely puppies.
I said we are only looking. aha..
We are not getting two dogs.
Aha...
so an hour after seeing them
we had two dear wee souls that would look to us for their forever homes,
love, care, safety and all the goodness a human can share and bestow on a pet.

Rascal is 11 weeks old and a Morkie... his mom is a Maltese and pops was a Yorkie.
.he is a registered hybrid with a five generation pedigree.
Tan in colour with a wee bit of black on his chin making it look like a wee beard.
He has personality plus.
Then there is a wee teacup Yorkie purebred..Scamp.
 Again with stellar papers.
She weighs a little more then 2 pounds right now and will top out at 3 pounds full grown.
She is fragile and loves cuddling.
They play together and cuddle together..
BUT they also get into a LOT of mischief together and alone..
 chewing whatever they can..
 he loves Lee's shoe laces..
and she likes my hoodie strings!!!
They are paper trained which is nice..
but until they get all their shots they cannot mingle with other outside dogs due to Parvo..
They will have all shots by the 22 of January.
They also are not supposed to go for walks as Parvo supposedly can live in soil for up to a year.
Their immune systems need shoring up before we introduce the world to them.

They play hard and sometimes one of them yelps and we step in with a stern NO..
and they stop only to go at it about thirty seconds later!!!
Tonight the little dude Rascal found he was big enough to climb the stairs up to our bedroom and bathroom area.. little bugger.
I went to get him because if he falls he could really hurt himself..
Hell he decided his ears were wings and literally flew off the top step(there are three steps) and landed on his shoulder and head..
he actually howled and then cried... headed right for Lee.
I was concerned he might have done serious damage..
 like a concussion..
You would think I was a concerned mommy!!!

Oh what fun we are having.
We are pooped and the puppies sleep on in safety and comfort
dreaming of new things that they can get into tomorrow...
got a surprise for them.
Grandsons Mason and Benji are face timing to meet them..
 this should be hilarious..

So this absolutely wonderful day draws to a close
and I think there might be a child's story in all of this.

Please be kind to one another
and to your self.
Love to each of you
and thank you for joining us once again
Peace

  1. Was I right or what?! They found you, OK Lee had a bit to do with it, but there is always an angel watching out for you. (Good thing you married him)
Have a ball and just think how many steps they take for each of yours. Won't be much trouble getting them some exercise.
