White Water Draw... AZ#4

Finally our destination... the place where thousands of cranes congregate every December and January.There was very little water in the ponds there and as a result no ducks rails or geese... but there were cranes.. and they were a long distance away.
But J and B had never been and it was a wish that we go see the cranes.. OK... that we did.. had a picnic lunch and started trekking to the viewing stand to wait for the action.
Met some great gals from Alaska.. and they had a darling wee dog named Fitzy.. he was an adoptee.. and what a sweetie he was.

Got a wonderful Kestrel, a greater Yellow legs(Lee's ID not mine, so if it wrong ..CORRECT him please)No. Pin tails, Shovellers, Killdeer  and many Sandhill cranes.

 

These are our friends Bob and Janice from San Diego.

We have been guests in their home many times and it is really fun to show them some of the places
