Remembrance Day November 11/12

Lest any of us forget.... today we honour our men and women who fought hard and while some came home whole ..others were not so lucky.
Men and women, dogs as well; fought hard in the name of a peaceful solution to conflict.
Please take time to show your respect in every possible way..
 FREEDOM is never ever free.

Thank you to each one of the brave men and women that took time out of their lives and gave their lives whether wholly or partially.. you are our heroes.

It is also a day to be thankful for other things equally important on a personal level.

My youngest daughter is home and doing well.
She has a few things that are definite challenges but she is strong willed and a smart woman..
we have every belief she will do really fine in this next part of her journey
.Because she is very private and wishes to remain so
nothing more will be said other then she is doing well.
Thanks to each of you that sent your prayers and best wishes..
we all appreciate the time you took to be so kind.

The time is fast approaching that Lee and I will once again leave the cold grey of home here in Osoyoos and we will venture south.
Our first stop will be Zion National Park and surrounding area..
that should take up about ten days of our wandering.
.we both are looking forward to this in a big way.
From there we will make camp in south Tuscon out in the desert near the Desert Museum..
we will be in that area for about 6 weeks.
My plan is to make use of some "Street Photography" opportunitie,s as I do love that.
From there we head to Texas and meet up with friends once again..
our plans changed from the initial 2012/2013 plans...
but you can bet we will take time to go to San Diego and visit our plans Janice and Bob..
as they are both retired now... maybe we can talk them into meeting us some where this year!

A few last appointments and we are off.
 Thursday morning we leave
and it cannot come too soon.
It was minus 8 Celsius here last night
and you know I do not do well in cold weather.

Take care and Peace

  1. Let the packing begins, wait, you don't need to pack... :-) It is nice to see you 2 on the road again, warm weather and blue skies, what is not to like?
we are heading out on Thursday too, in case I don't make it to WiFi, here is wishing you a safe and rewarding journey.
I am glad your girl is doing better, whatever she has, we are wishing her a speedy recovery.
