This particular day we decided to drive to Jackson Hole WY and view the Tetons,
The drive through the park was long and winding, with many people stopping and starting and 45 miles an hour!
Went past the Continental Divide and there was snow and it was cold.
Once Oxbow Bend came into view we had to stop. Beautiful day for a shot.. even if it is an iconic type of shot.
Not an elk in sight!
We visited the town of Jackson Hole, and witnessed a great movie about the Grand Tetons, this film was 200 times better then that lame tired old film we paid money to see about Yellowstone. Tsk Tsk...It was so good we bought the entire video.
From there we went to grab some shots of the famous antler arches in the town square.. they are just so well done and it is a beautiful square. All towns should have these lovely squares.
Saw an art gallery where an artist was creating a wax sculpture that would eventually be cast in bronze. This gallery was without a doubt a wonderful place to see incredible pieces of art. INCREDIBLE prices I might add.
But what the heck looking and appreciating costs nothing but time.
We had planned on ice cream but for the price of a cone we could buy a gallon anywhere else! So we went to a bakery instead. Got some Challa bread and a loaf of organic something.13 bucks!!! Hey cannot take it with you and might as well enjoy it while you can!
So with this done we made to decision to return back to our RV's .
Long drive but decent speed limits so that was good and the areas we travelled through reminded us of Alberta.. Turner Valley and bits of Kananaskis country.
Back and puppies are glad to be "home" again. What great wee travelers they are.
Did laundry and had some soup with fresh bread.. then this lady was just bagged.. so to bed... we broke camp early in the am for the drive to our next bit of adventure.
We will see a good friend we have not seen in at least six or more years.. looking forward to meeting her and the love of her life. Hoping to run into a friend from Victoria too.
So from Sunny Yellowstone we bid you a fond adieu.
Be kind to each other
Thank you for coming along, as always we enjoy your being with us.
PEACE
