On our way

Well it is the time.. finally after everything is done and said, we roll today!
None too soon either by the looks of the mountain across the lake.
Snow levels are starting to reach down into our valley.
It has taken so long to load this time,
I am guessing it is an older person doing the loading!
That would be my guess anyway.
I believe I have everything including the kitchen sink.
For those of you who truly know me, you might recall me saying on several occasions,
" it is better to have more then you need, then to need more then you have".
Based on that premise we should do just fine for the next four or so months!

We leave our beautiful home in very capable hands too.
It is that point I wish to address here and now.
Were it not for the kindness and true generosity of our friend Don,
we could not leave this valley and our home with such confidence
Knowing he is looking after things makes this more stress free then you could possibly know.
So to Don, our gratitude is boundless.

We plan on staying at the beautiful Indian Casino in Pendleton tonight.
No, not to gamble! Not my thing.
But the RV park is top notch and easy to get in and out of.
Then, Mountain Home Idaho.
Beautiful park there and it is there we will stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables.
(cannot take veggies and fruits across the border.)
We will continue on to Ash Springs Nevada and then overnight there,
and finally on to Valley Of Fire.
This is a small state park near Mesquite.
Gorgeous  quiet place filled with prehistoric rock
and miles and miles of the most beautiful colours imaginable.
No internet there, so we will be off the grid until November 23rd;
at which time we arrive in Arizona.
We are staying out of Tucson almost right in the desert.
What am talking about, it is in the desert!
Small park and a very nice place.
We look forward to seeing a couple of folks that we truly enjoy
and will keep you posted on any and all adventures.

There is a new type of climate in Arizona politically this year,
and for that reason we will not be venturing into Mexico at all.
I like to walk across to check out the wonderful folk type art they use on some of the beautifully crafted items.
But this year, that will not happen.
I will use definite due diligence in places we go and of the surroundings.
Sad one has to do this, but for safety reasons, it is necessary.

So to our followers , we say talk to you soon
and we hope you all enjoy this next chapter in the adventures of the ROLLING HORN INN!
