Well we made it to the RV park and the view is lovely,
weather sucketh.
Our friends from Nanaimo BC arrived and are right beside us.
Now this day we ventured into the park from the west entrance.
Lots of people.
We saw hundreds of bison cows and their babies..
and we also saw what was to become more and more apparent as the morning passed.
STUPID PEOPLE!
Honestly, women with small children trying to pose as near as can be to a mother bison!!!
Others getting way to close
and folks passing you when clearly there is no passing anywhere!
I muttered loudly with my dear sweet hubby asking me to cease and desist!
Harumph!
We saw one moose about the size of a grain of pepper...
One elk most likely by herself giving birth in some bushes..
Long way off.
Saw three geese... one merganser and way too many people!
It was rainy, cloudy and windy.. but oh when that sun came out.
It was fantastic.
The geysers were no where near as colourful as in fall
but still very other worldly and for me, the best part of the day.
We came back early as we only leave the pups for about four hours at any one time.
They were very glad to see us.
Our plan had been to go into Jackson Hole in the afternoon but Mr. Horn was tired and had a nap instead.
Mrs. Horn figured that was alright as she curled up with the fur kids and had a wee nap too.
It poured rain here for about an hour.. the noise at one point was outstanding!
Had the heat on ever since.
Tomorrow the pups will join us in the truck and we will venture off with the Howe's to yet another adventure. We figure we will drive up to Mammoth.
This delights me no end..
Seems all the action is up that way anyway.
I actually started editing my shots from today to share with you
until I heard the guys talking
and Lee mentioned my monitor colour SUCKETH!
Nothing to calibrate it with either...
Seems that is the way things go..
Ah well tomorrow is a new day and new opportunities await.
One other tidbit..
seems I am "coddling" my babies.
Laura showed me how to get things done
and wow is she ever good with them.
The pups love her and Gordy
but seriously she got more accomplished in one hour with both of them
then I have in six months!!!
Hanging my head now... lol
Be kind to each other and yourself..
Peace
Gaye, how about a "Stupid People" photo series? A "What NOT to Do in Yellowstone". Seems to work for funniest home videos!
